Come explore the meaning of life through Alpha.
Our next course begins February 1, 2017.
Over 22 million people throughout the world have sought the answer to questions about the meaning of life through an Alpha Course. We offer an Alpha Course here at St. Paul Catholic Church as a way to help answer this and many other questions. The Alpha Course is our parish's response to the Bishop's vision for our Diocese, "The Church Fully Alive". Through Alpha we invite others to the faith, spreading the joy of the Gospel to the faithful, to those who are not living their baptismal call, and to those who have never known Jesus Christ. Everyone is invited to participate.
The Alpha Course is held on ten Wednesday evenings beginning at 6:30pm in the Giri room. Also included is a Day Away retreat on one Saturday mid-way during the course. Each week guests will enjoy a meal and a talk on subjects as diverse as “Who is Jesus?”, “How Can I Have Faith?” and “How Can I Make the Most of the Rest of My Life?” After the talk, guests break into small groups to discuss the content of the talk and share their own opinions. No question is out of bounds and participants are free to say as much or as little as they wish as they make up their own minds about the teachings of Jesus. The Alpha Course is low-key, friendly, free and open to everyone.
